We were delighted that so many friends came and supported us at Gean House, Alloa, on Thursday 12 November for a wonderful day of "Fun, Food, Flowers and Fashion". Over £8000 was raised for Strathcarron Hospice and we would like to thank Gean House for all their help and cooperation in making this day possible, and all friends who helped in any way to make this event such a success.

Consul General Mr Kitaoka and his wife attended the Japanese Evening on 21 March and were welcomed by Kit Gow and Sir Robert Stewart. They are shown in front of a display of photographs of the Japanese Garden at Cowden prepared by Janet Carolan, Curator of Dollar Museum. Sara Stewart later spoke about the restoration of the garden which is currently in progress.

The 10th Birthday of our organisation was celebrated at the AGM at Alloa Tower on 5 May. Over the 10 years of our existence we have raised over £117,000 for local charities at over 70 different events.
A very successful Ceilidh was held in the Cochrane Hall, Alva on Friday 10 January. A full house enjoyed the music of Jack Delaney's Band and danced the night away. The money raised is going to Ochil Mountain Resue Team.
The 2014 AGM was held on 8 May and a cheque was presented by our President Sir Robert Stewart to Kirsty Freeland who is the Children's Bereavement Counsellor at Strathcarron Hospice.
A Ladies 'Summer Sunshine' Lunch was held in the Captain's Room of the Maguire Building at Dollar Academy on Tuesday 22 July. Bill Cook and Friends entertained about 80 members and friends. Funds raised will go to Alzheimer Scotland. The photograph shows the organising group of ladies.
The Annual Ceilidh took place at the Cochrane Hall, Alva on Friday 11 January. Music by Jack Delaney and his Band proved very popular and the evening was enjoyed by all. £1500 was raised for Maggie's Centre at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
A cheque for £3500 was presented in January to Elsie Riley, the Community Fundraiser at Camphill, Blairdrummond.
A cheque for £2500 was presented in February to Tumong Edwards, a Fundraiser for Maggie's Centres.
A Ladies Lunch was held at Glenbervie Golf Club on Wednesday 17 July. Over 100 ladies enjoyed hearing Margaret Gimblett's talk about her life as a roving Sheriff. Funds raised will go to Clackmannanshire Women's Aid. The photograph shows Georgie Macnair, Margaret Gimblett, Kit Gow and Linda Aikman.
An Old Time Variety Show was held at Alloa Town Hall for a two-night run on September 26th and 27th. Masters of Ceremonies were George Marcinkiewicz and Gerry Docherty. Acts appearing included Jack Delaney's Band, Hillfoot Harmony, Forefront Theatre, Eddie Rose, Alloa Musical Players, Stenhouse School of Dance, etc. etc. The photo shows some of our members waiting for the first audience to arrive.
In 2012 we had our Annual Ceilidh in the Cochrane Hall, Alva in January. This raised £1150 for the Forth Valley Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
In March a Silent Auction was held, also in the Cochrane Hall, Alva. This raised over £5000 for Strathcarron Hospice and Funding Neuro.
There was a Ladies Lunch at Glenbervie Golf Club in March.
The Annual General Meeting was at Dollar Golf Club in May, with a buffet supper, glass of wine and coffee.
At "Open Studios Forth Valley", which was held for a week in June, our contribution was helping to host an exhibition throughout the week of work done by patients and staff of Strathcarron Hospice and also holding "Wonderful Wednesday", an evening of words, music, wine and surprises, all at Blairlogie.
A Choral Concert "Three Choirs for a Tenner" took place in October with Stirling Male Voice Choir, Clackmannanshire Choral Society and Strathcarron Singers. This was held in Alloa Town Hall and was a huge success, raising over £5000 for Strathcarron.
